At Threat Response Group LLC, we strive to offer the best education for our students. We will offer various courses in multiple topics, from those geared to entry level interested persons, on up to levels for the advanced professional. We are constantly working to offer the most current education, to our students, as well as looking to offer more classes in the firearms, personal defense, and security related fields. Michael "Mike" Shipman

Owner/Chief Instructor

He has approximately 20 years experience in public safety, as well as the security, and firearms industries. 17 years as a field EMT with a search and rescue unit, 5 years with the USAF Aux/Reserves, as well as 18 years in the security and private law enforcement field. He holds a bachelors degree in criminal justice, as well as having been trained as an entry level peace officer in California. He has also held instructor certifications in emergency medicine, baton, OC, handcuffing, handgun, shotgun, blade combat, and others. He has worked as a field training officer, general training officer, and various levels of supervisory roles. He is constantly striving to further his education, and his skill set, to provide the best education to his students, that he possibly can.
